Brian Shenkin

Brian Shenkin, one of two Area Sales Managers for Scotland and surrounding areas joined the team at Kellars 3.5 years ago.

Since then, Brian has never looked back. In 2020, Kellars came knocking, and Dave Francis interviewed him for the role, allowing Kellars to expand into the Northern sector of the UK, and promote the Kellars name to new and existing customers in Scotland.

Kellars have continued to grow at a rapid rate in this area, and our team of two Sales Managers have, and are doing a fantastic job of introducing our new products stands and point of sale to clients in this area.

Brian’s focus is the West of Scotland, where he continues to manage sales and enquiries from his clients, creating customer relationships, and introducing our portfolio of products and stands to new, and existing trade accounts and stores.

“I have loved every minute of my time with Kellars. We attend The Flooring Show in Harrogate year in, year out, and this never disappoints. It’s certainly a highlight moment for me, and I’m sure for many others at Kellars too”

The Area Sales Manager says “Kellars always stock an exceptional range of products in depth, and are always on point when it comes to buying stock”

2023 so far has been an exciting few months for the flooring industry, and certainly Kellars overall. With regular additions to ranges, specifically carpet, additional stand options, and overall developments and investments as a whole, Brian’s schedule has been full steam ahead.

“I love the Carpet wall stands and lecterns – these transform the look of our customers showrooms, giving Kellars a real presence in stores across the country”

Taking it back a few years, after some time working in a school working in the IT department, Brian started with M.Mercado Glasgow in 1989, which was Scotland’s largest independent wholesaler at the time. Being a Merchandiser at the age of 25 was a fantastic opportunity to learn the trade and gain the opportunity to work  in a fast paced environment, but certainly something that was of interest. In 1990, he took on his first area as a Sales Rep which was a super exciting time for him.

Fast-forwarding to 2001, he then moved onto another wholesaler; FDL, but this time on a smaller scale. The company specialised in clearance, which meant it was tricky to sell towards the wholesaling trade.

Kellars thank Brian for his hard work, and dedication so far, and look forward to the future.
