Dan McLoughlin joined Kellars in September 2023 as an Area Sales Manager. He jumped in head first at the highly acclaimed Harrogate show – an exhibition that showcases our exclusive range of products, and allows visitors to experience Kellars as we embark on our journey.
Immersed in the dynamic atmosphere of The Flooring Show, Dan gained further insight and understanding into the industry, along with interacting with his fellow team of Area Sales Managers.
“I love talking to customers and finding out what their wants and needs are. Whether it’s a requirement for the latest product or offering great alternatives to something that’s already on the market.” Says Dan
Covering the expansive South East of England, including Kent and surrounding areas, Dan navigates through these areas extremely well, with this being a region he grew up in.
His journey to Kellars marked a departure from a nine-year tenure in the motor trade, where he held the position of Retail Manager at Perrys. Late in 2023, he sought a new professional path where he could leverage his skills in a different industry, as he landed in the role of an Area Sales Manager.
The invitation to join Kellars came through a former colleague, now a part of the Kellars team, which offered Dan an opportunity to immerse himself into a new trade.
As an Area Sales Manager, Dan has found that this role aligns with his strengths. His genuine passion for engaging with customers allows him to build and develop relationships, as well as expanding the Kellars name in the South Region.
“I’m really excited for the year ahead at Kellars. We have some exceptional ranges being released and point of sale is another talking point too. We also have Kellars exclusive Roadshows and Exhibition events, which are organised for customers, giving them the opportunity to check out the latest ranges, and new products.”
Aspirations are high for the year ahead, including the objective of key development across Dan’s designated area, determined to demonstrate to customers the superior quality of Kellars in a competitive industry.
Dan Says: “I’m aiming to develop my area substantially this year, and striving to really prove to my customers that Kellars provide an extensive range of great quality products, at various price points to suit all customer and budget options”
“Opening up customers’ minds from products they have used for some time can often be tricky, but I am finding that there is a significant need for our products, and so far have received so much positive feedback”
“The whole Kellars team are very supportive. I came from a strong sales team in my previous workplace, and I have to say that everyone at Kellars are always keen to help or support me if I need assistance. The sales team sings from the same hymn sheet which is very refreshing, and to know we are all working towards both a common goal, but our own individual goals too keeps the journey challenging, but certainly interesting and exciting.”
