Meet the reps: New recruit – Dan McLoughlin

Moving from the motor industry, to flooring at Kellars was a huge step for Dan McLoughlin, but kickstarting a new career in something a little bit different, was something he was keen to jump head first into.

Why Kellars? How do you think they stand out from other competitors?

Kellars has all the great attributes of a family run business with a brilliant work ethic. Compared to competitors it probably is the youngest, but has certainly developed hugely over the past 5 years. I love the fact they are continuously evolving and adapting, and supply fully exclusive products, unlike the majority of others.

What are your aims for the next six to twelve months?

Within the near future, I’ll be striving to build and develop new relationships with customers in the South East and promote the Kellars brand so we can establish ourselves further, and be represented in additional areas of the UK.

I wasn’t lucky to meet Dave Francis, but the show this year just showed how much he was a huge part of Kellars, so I would love to win the Dave Francis award at the show in 2024 in his memory.

Favourite thing about Kellars?

I like the fact that they aren’t afraid of change and really embrace it. I believe that we produce some incredible products which gives us an advantage when talking and creating stronger relationships with customers. Kellars are very team oriented and every individual is willing to help out a colleague, which proves how fantastic the support is across the board.

How was your first Flooring Show?

The show was mind blowing! As a first for me and to see it at such an important time with recent growth of Kellars and now developing further down South, it was certainly very positive. We had lots of great feedback on our stand at the show and was also brilliant to hear from customers and even competitors that we had the biggest and best stand when it came to our product portfolio, stock, branding and overall experience.

My first 2 weeks as an Area Sales Manager has most definitely been a learning curve, and gaining knowledge on our portfolio, to allow me to t talking to customers has been fun! I can’t wait to get into my area and start promoting Kellars.

Favourite stand?

My favourite stand is the latest Octavian vinyl stand which looks smart and sleek!

A little bit about Dan:

I’ve spent 9.5 years in the motor trade prior to Kellars, and before that I was a lifeguard. I have 2 children (a four year old and a 4 month old) who both keep me on my toes. So I’m always occupied in my spare time, but I wouldn’t change it for the world!
