Meet the reps: Stewart Jones

Building a successful customer base, and growing the Kellars name across the Midlands and Herefordshire area is new recruit, Stewart Jones’ 2023 aims as an Area Sales Manager for Kellars.

Progressing into a forward thinking business in a competitive industry is going to bring challenges, but most of all opportunities for development and progression in the near future.

We chat with Stewart to discuss his time at Kellars, future predictions and all things flooring in a competitive, and rapidly-growing environment, known as the flooring industry.

As the UK’s largest independent flooring supplier, Kellars provide their own branded products, which gives the retailer a level; of exclusivity on other products, as well ensuring we stand out from other competitors. 

On a daily basis, Stewart’s schedule consists of calling in on existing and new customers, presenting ranges, discussing what they have to offer, putting forward my options to help win business, along with adding more value to the retailer and their business.

We’re more than halfway through 2023, but this certainly means there’s no time for slowing down, as we approach The Flooring Show in September. We will see Stewart make a name for himself, and present our growing product portfolio to both new and existing clients at the exhibition in a couple of months time.

For the previous 20+ years, his career path has consisted of flooring…flooring and can you guess… more flooring.

With years of industry and market knowledge under his belt, the Area Sales Manager brings his experience to Kellars, which he has developed since he left school at 16 years old.

“Many moons ago, I worked at Headlam internally working on the trade counter, and then worked laterally for eleven years covering the same area as I currently am at Kellars. Shortly after, I began working for Instarmarc, covering Southern areas of the UK”

Stewart says: “It’s impressive to see the rate of new products being launched month in, month out, and to see these performing, and reacting well on the market is always a bonus”

We asked our new recruit which stand and products he is excited about the most and why…

“I really like the Zadar range. I believe it represents excellent value, I also really like the Alva and Allora stands and the Forma Wall stand, which I think look extremely impressive and would be an excellent addition to any business showroom”
